Erecting of Uprights

1). Foundation pits are carefully excavated which correspond to the dimensions of the stone. The stone is transported to the site via rolling on wooden logs.

2). The stone is carefully tilted into the foundation pit. The leading log roller is positioned such that the stone will be tipped forward into the pit at the proper angle and desired location. Care must be taken not to collapse the walls of the foundation pit.

3). Ropes are attached to secure and counterbalance the stone. An erecting tower is placed surrounding the the stone and will be used to raise the stone to a vertical position. The stone is raised to a vertical position by pulling on ropes attached to the top of the erecting tower.
