• NASA Astrophysics Data System Abstract Server - A great resource for doing paper research. The name says it all.
• Space Telescope Science Institute Library - Has abstracts in astronomy, links to other astronomical libraries, and preprint listings for all astronomical journal articles.

Data & Image Archives

• SIMBAD - Extrasolar database with measurements, bibliography, and cross-identifications.
• NED - NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database
• STScI Digital Sky Survey Page - Obtain images of any part of the sky. Excellent to use for "finder" images.
• Astronomy Picture of the Day - A huge list of short articles on current astronomy developments. Goddard Space Flight Center.
• HST Corrected Images - WFPCII Images from the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore.

Infrared

• IRAS online directory - Many online services are offered by IPAC, including NED and IRSKY (an online IR survey tool for the entire sky). Also access 2MASS, SIRTF and more!

High Energy Astronomy

• HEASARC - The High Energy Astrophysics Science Archive Research Center is a great reference.

Planetary Astronomy

• Welcome to the Planets -- A great site with lots of solid information on our solar system 
• JPL Missions - Look here for the latest updates on the current JPL missions as well as history on the older missions. 

General Knowledge

• NASA and Jet Propulsion Laboratory
• Space.com - Fun & Non-technical site with news, games and more. 
• Astronomy Magazine
• Sky & Telescope Magazine

Observatories

• NOAO internet guide - National Optical Astronomy Observatory.
• Table Mountain Observatory - The home of the Pomona College 1-Meter Telescope is a private JPL facility that also houses 24" and a 48" reflecting telescopes.
• Mt. Wilson Observatory - A great place to visit. Exciting things are happening here despite it's relatively low altitude.
• Las Campanas - This observatory in the mountains of Chile is a common destination for students and faculty of Pomona.
• Palomar & Keck Observatory - Home of the gargantuan 200" telescope. This place is well worth a visit and there is a gift shop and a daily tour. You can also access information about Keck Observatory's twin 10 Meter telescopes.
